Message There are reasons to both consider and not consider Z1.

They are very familiar with the vehicle (Z32) and, as Robo said, they probably have done more NA to TT conversions than any other shop.

However, there has often been controversy in the past regarding everything from business ethics to craftsmanship.

There have been customers who received excellent service at a very reasonable price, but there have also been customers who may have received less impeccable service and not necessarily at the best or most appropriate price(depending on your viewpoint).

My personal approach is that unless I were local (which I am not), I would not send my business to Z1 unless there were not any reasonable alternatives. My own experiences in ordering parts from them were not entirely satisfying, and I have been even less impressed with the way that they manage their public image. While I am sure that there are some very nice, knowledgable, and skilled people at Z1, I am not confident that my business would be handled exclusively by those particular indiviuals. In my personal opinion, dealing with Z1 is a gamble. You may get very lucky, but you also run the risk of being very unlucky. Personally, I prefer to minimize the risk and the reliance upon luck as much as possible.

"The two seater is being joined in a few weeks by a larger two-plus-two model with a rear seat for munchkins." ~Jim Mateja, Chicago Tribune, in regards to the Z32.
